Frank O Gehry the Don Quixote of Architects.

An unconventional architect whose favourite books are Don Quixote and Alice in Wonderland, because he loved and could identify with the unconventional and mad characters in these books: Don Quixote and the Madhatter. He became a starquitect late in life with the Guggenheim in Bilbao. He is now seen as one of the most important and influential architects of our time. He is an unconventional architect

– using unconventional designs and unconventional materials.

– being more inspired by paintings, sculptures and music than by buildings

– his buildings look like sculptures

We are going to have a look at his works: what went before the Guggenheim in Bilbao, the apotheósis Bilbao and what came after Bilbao.
