In April 2026 we held, for the first time, a competition for young talent in Teatro del Carmen in Vélez Málaga. Paula Coronas, Babak Eshraghi and Daniela Basno, all professional musicians, were our jury. Our aim is to give the children an opportunity to shine on stage. We donated diploma’s, trofies and 5 money prizes in 2 age categories. The level was incredibly high.
We organize a concert for the winners in July to be able to shine and gain stage experience in the Ateneo in Málaga, a beautiful and historic building. Next year in 2027 the V Competitition for Young Talented Musicians will take place. We are honoured to count on the collaboration of famous musicians like the pianist Paula Coronas.
Winners Music Competition for young talent April 19
On Sunday 19 April 13 finalists between 8 and 18 years old came to the Teatro del Carmen in Velez Málaga to shine on stage and do their utmost to win a prize. We handed out first, second and third prizes with trophies and diplomas in 3 age groups. 4 children got a money prize, the small children got a voucher for a music shop in Málaga.
- The Jury also gave 3 special prizes of € 200 each.
- The Paula Coronas prize for best interpretation of a Spanish composer
- The George Enescu Prize for the best violin interpretation
- The Andrés Segovia prize for the best Guitar interpretation.
- The Concejala de Cultura of Velez Malaga was also present at the prize ceremony.
